Fair trade used to promote quality craftwork in Mali

While drawing from traditional techniques, ami&co's products fit in a contemporary environment. The products are exclusive models made by Malian craftspeople in collaboration with designers from various outlooks.

Quality and Ethics : ami&co works with craftspeople in a spirit of fairness and equity. For their part, the craftspeople supply quality work which justifies the higher price but also promotes their work.
All ami&co's products are prewashed to prevent any shrinking.
ami&co pays particular attention to the quality of the finishing so as to offer you products that meet the criteria of the most demanding customers.

Traceability: ami&co have their products made locally whenever possible, which facilitates their traceability while reducing environmental costs.

All our weaving is done by skilled craftspeople in collaboration with specialised designers. This partnership allows us to offer you high quality original textile.

The woven material offered vary from very light cloths to thicker cloths which are ideal for household linen and bags.

These woven cloths can be used naturally (ecru) or dyed. The dyes ami&co uses are natural as they are made from earth (bogolan) and/or vegetables (basilan) using traditional techniques.

The word pagne comes from the Spanish word Paño (pagno) which means "a piece of fabric" which Africans and Indians use to cover their waist down to their knees. Originally woven from vegetable material in Africa, the pagne will later be made in pieces of cotton fabric. Today the word is used to talk about all printed material made in national textile processing factories in the sub-region.

The pagne material used in ami&co's products comes exclusively from a Malian factory which transforms the cotton produced in Mali in cretonne which is then printed.
